Alex Botton is an Australian-born filmmaker currently residing in Kelowna, BC. After graduating from design school with a fascination for the art of film and darkroom photography, he pursued this passion using video as a catalyst to be able to experiment with film stocks, vintage lenses, light, and ultimately, the moving image. 

He was the director of Paste Studios - a video production studio in Sydney, Australia from 2009-2019, then he took his passion for the moving image to Canada to explore new creative endeavors and concentrate on personal projects. 2023 brings new ideas, projects, cameras, lenses, and lights to the forefront of his career as he strives to produce high-level films through the medium of short-form documentary content and experimental filmmaking. Alex is currently a Camera Operator for CMW Valley Productions, in Kelowna and has produced producing feature films and making content in collaboration with organizations such as Nelson & Kootenay Lake Tourism, Asics, and Red Bull.
